But for various reasons I was kind of slow going in giving them away. One being that the recipient was in the process of moving to a newly built home. Another, is I'm bad about remembering things like envelopes when I go out. So I ended up finishing and getting these mittens mailed first. And in the mean time, of making the mittens/buying envelopes, I got the news that this friend is now pregnant with twins! And really, coasters didn't sound like too great a gift. So I embarked on new knitting territory and added a second project to my gift. This one, more focused on the twins.
For Sarah's firstborn I made this blanket. My first, and only, knit blanket. Not sure if I'll go there again. I found it to be a slow process - hence my enjoyment of knitting much smaller things such as hats, handwarmers, and mittens. This is the route I took for her next children:
So, Sarah, I hope you love your homemade item(s), and maybe even the coasters will come in handy!
In other non-crafty news, I get to go on a 2-week vacation soon! I'm pumped. :)

Eeeeee! I still love them. All of them. Yay. Lucy found them this morning and tried to put them on. Silly kid.
On another note, a vacation? What? We haven't talked in a while. :) Let's do so!
I will always think of Martha Anne and her reaction to you saying, "Martha, look at the picture of these baby booties." Fun times with the Bailey girls! You both made me laugh a lot. I think the booties are very cute.
